Christmas Wishes

I’m going to walk away from my blog for two days. No posts, no debt updates, and no site stat checks. I’ll still be on Twitter because, let’s be serious, you know I wouldn’t survive without talking to you all over the holidays! But I want to spend as much time as I can with Mom, Baby Bro and Sis, our extended family and the dogs.
In case you’re wondering, our Christmas will be quiet. With Dad at sea this year, the house feels emptier. On Christmas morning, I’ll walk a dog at the SPCA then come home to open a few presents with Mom. By noon, my grandma and aunt will be over. A few of my lifelong friends will make appearances throughout the day, and we’ll drink tea and eat cheese, crackers and other goodies, while Mom cooks Christmas dinner. We will feast just after 5pm, take the dogs for a walk, and spend the rest of the night around the fireplace. And then it will all be over.
Before signing off, I would like to take a minute to wish everyone a Merry Christmas (and a hopefully debt-free Boxing Day). If you have kids, I hope they marvel in the magic of Santa. If you don’t, I hope someone surprises you; if not with a gift, then perhaps with an unexpected visit. And after a day I hope is filled with love and laughter, I hope you go to bed with full bellies and happy, new memories.
*1 sleep until Christmas!*
