Cait’s Christmas Gift Card Giveaway
What an original name, eh!?
But the idea for this giveaway is simple. I know that it’s not always easy to budget / save for the holidays. If you’re like me, something about shopping at this time of year makes me wish I could give a meaningful gift to anyone and everyone I know. Unfortunately, we can only stretch our budgets so far… which is why I’ve decided to try and help.
Over the next month, I’m going to host two giveaways for gift cards worth $25 each. What you do with them is obviously up to you but my hope is you will either give them directly to someone you care about or purchase items intended to be gifts. This week’s giveaway is for a $25 Amazon Gift Card.
To enter, you can follow me on Twitter (1 entry), tweet about the giveaway (1 entry), subscribe to Blonde on a Budget (2 entries), or write a comment on this post telling me what you would do with the gift card (2 entries). You can also do all of these things for a total of 6 entries. (Remember to use Rafflecopter to make your entries count!)
Both giveaways are open to residents of Canada and the U.S. Since this week’s giveaway is for Amazon, I will send the winner a gift card associated with their country’s Amazon site (.ca or .com).

With my gift card I’d insist that my friend Caitlin doesn’t give it to me but instead uses it herself to buy another great book that she loves and will keep her busy on cold Toronto nights because I’m not there to watch tv with

I am an avid reader so the amazon gift card would be spent on kindle books.

I’d love to win this gift card so I can buy my little sister another scary book or I may by my friend a baking book (ebook / kindle version)
I do most of my christmas shopping on amazon, so I’d use it towards that.

I would probably use it to buy christmas presents for my mom and sister – have them all picked out and waiting in my cart, now just saving up the money!
I would use it to buy Born to Run, the one book I keep taking out from the library. I’m like Belle who just keeps taking out the blue book over and over, so I’m hoping Cait will be the kindly bookstore owner who can provide it for me so I can go to the town fountain and sing about there being more than this provincial life.

I would use the gift card for Christmas presents for my sister. She lives in New York and we’re not sure she’ll get home for the holidays this year, so everything is going to be shipped to her and and I love that I can ship things straight from Amazon (though I will send her a few other things that are actually wrapped!). Haha.. that was the very first thing I thought when I noticed the title in my email. I thought, “oh that’s original” ok I’ll stop laughing now but I’m sure you will get me back. Things are a bit tight with baby on the way (and will only get stretched further!), so I’d purchase something for my husband and I to share, like a DVD, a board game, or something for the baby

As I have been making changes to my budget over the past couple of months. ive been able to cut some expenses, but I recently moved closer to the city (SF) where my rent has gone up and the cost of living. With my small salary and being a full time college student I haven’t been able to afford to get anyone in my family anything for the past 2 years. It makes me feel like a crappy family member..
So this would help me start somewhere.
If I won the $25 Amazon gift card, I would use it towards a gift for my fiance for Christmas. We’ve both been in rough spots financially, and he could really use a few new shirts. I would definitely use the gift card towards that.
I would probably use it to buy a headset ear buds for my phone so I don’t have to use my hands when talking on the phone. I have used a Bluetooth in the past and I keep losing it or having to charge it. This way I can just put some headphones in and talk and listen at the same time. i want to win
I need to get into shape so I’d use it to buy a fitness book or healthy recipe book
I can’t lie, I’d probably use this to buy a couple of new books for my kindle!

A $25 Amazon gift card would be going straight to my sis as her Christmas present – she’s a total book nut.
